B2B for Everyone: Wholesale Features Move to Non-Plus Shopify Plans

Wholesale e-commerce is booming, but historically, unlocking robust business-to-business (B2B) features on Shopify required a subscription to their top-tier enterprise plan, Shopify Plus. In a major shift to empower growing brands, Shopify has democratized its wholesale suite by making core B2B features available on non-Plus plans.

This means standard merchants can now seamlessly operate a hybrid store—selling to everyday retail consumers and bulk wholesale buyers from a single backend.
Key features now available to standard Shopify merchants include:

  • Company Profiles & Custom Pricing: Create distinct business accounts for your wholesale clients and assign them curated price lists or catalog segmentations.

  • Flexible Payment Terms: Offer traditional net payment options (such as Net 15, 30, or 60) directly at checkout based on individual company profiles.

  • B2B In-Store Pickup: Business buyers can now select local pickup at checkout, allowing merchants to route bulk fulfillment smoothly through physical store locations or regional warehouses.

You no longer need an enterprise budget to run a sophisticated wholesale operation. This update lowers the barrier to entry, allowing direct-to-consumer brands to test and scale secondary revenue streams overnight.
